Nailart: Floral Blues

Vanmorgen had ik jullie al beloofd dat er vanmiddag nog een kleine "verrassing" zou komen. En hier is het dan! Ik kreeg een aantal positieve reacties op mijn nailart inspiratie artikel met de vintage bloemen, en bij deze besloot ik om hier zelf ook een nailart van te maken.

This morning I promised that I would have a nice "surprise" for you, and here it is! I got a few very positive reactions to the nailart inspiration article with the vintage flowers, so I decided I was going to try this myself.

Ik ga jullie een beetje uitleggen hoe ik het heb gemaakt, en daar heb ik dus ook wat foto's van gemaakt. Ik kan jullie wel vertellen dat het lastiger is als dat het lijkt, en ik moet ook zeker nog flink oefenen voordat ik tevreden zal zijn.
Ik heb als achtergrond Moonstone van Beauty UK gebruikt, de Daily Nails daarvan kan je hier zien. Voor de roosjes heb ik nummer 112 van Miss Helen gebruikt en Marilyn&Me van Catrice. Voor de blaadjes heb ik de groene acrylverf gebruikt en onverwachts heb ik de witte acrylverf niet gebruikt maar die stond al op de foto. Ook heb ik gebruik gemaakt van een dottingtool en een dun nailart kwastje.

Im going to explain a little bit how I did this, and I made some pictures of it. I can tell you it is a lot harder than I expected and I still need a lot of practive before I will be happy with the result.
For the background I used Moonstone by Beauty UK, you can see the Daily Nails here. For the roses I used number 112 by Miss Helen and Marilyn&Me by Catrice. For the petals I used the green acrylic paint, I didn't use the white acrylic paint but it was already on the picture, sorry about that. I also used a dotting tool and a thin nailart brush.

1. Maak eerst met de dottingtool rode rondjes op de nagel, je kan zelf bepalen hoeveel je er wilt. Dit doe je met het grote bolletje op de dottingtool.
2. Vervolgens zet je met het dunne bolletje een rondje in het midden van het rode rondje. Met dit bolletje van de dottingtool blend je de kleuren door elkaar.
3. Als laatst maak je met het kwastje kleine blaadjes naast de roosjes.

1. First of all make with the biggest dot of the dottingtool a few dots on your nail.
2. After that put a little dot in the middle of the red dot with the small part of the dottingtool and blend this together.
3. At last put some small petals next to the roses with the small nailart brush.

Dit is het resultaat geworden. Ik ben zelf nog niet helemaal tevreden, maar ik blijf gewoon flink oefenen! Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik Moonstone een hele leuke achtergrond vind voor deze nailart.

This is the result. I'm still not very happy with it, but I will keep practicing! I've got to say, I really like Moonstone as a background for this nailart.
